Lets take for example:

What you have to do in such situations instead of casting random healing spells is to spam Dispel Magic while you already have Glyph of Dispel Magic Whitch heals the 3% of NPCs/Players max health. In fight like Valitha this will be minimum heal 30k and crit about 60k
Pros : Istant ! Sick heals depending on Player's / Npc's HP , about 5k less mana than flash heal
Feel free to share any fights that you think this will be useful , i can think also in the deadmines HC last nightmare before boss where you have to heal the npc that is getting killed by worgen.
