My wife was extremely demanding of my time when I started playing WoW, and couldn't understand how allowing me a generous one hour of playtime on Wednesday nights (since that's when her favorite show aired) wasn't sufficient for raiding Molten Core.

I basically stopped playing for a while, until one weekend I convinced her to try it out. We rolled new characters together, and now she's been our raid leader and guild leader for the last four years.
Now she looks back and laughs about the one hour per week raiding allowance.
