I've dc'ed on a boat and logged in in the middle of the damn ocean with a fatigue bar. Actually, the boat to the draenei zones still does this to me every time. But there is now a portal to the Exodar inside the temple in Darnassus, right next to the dark portal portal and the portal trainer. So your problems are solved :P
