Hey, WoW fans! Blizzard just dropped some new hotfixes, and as usual, they come with important tweaks to gameplay, classes, and dungeons. These updates target various issues across The War Within, Cataclysm Classic, Season of Discovery, and WoW Classic Era. Here’s a rundown of what’s changed, why it matters, and how it’ll impact your next adventure in Azeroth.

Class Changes: Warlocks and Warriors, Pay Attention!

One of the most notable adjustments in the October 10, 2024 hotfixes is focused on Warlocks and Warriors. For Warlocks, particularly in the Demonology specialization, Blizzard fixed an issue with their pet summons breaking stealth for opposing players. Now, Warlocks will have a smoother PvP experience when summoning creatures like Vilefiend and Gloomhound.

Warriors got some love as well, especially those in Fury specialization. A bug that caused Bloodthirst to fail in proccing Thunder Blast has been patched. These tweaks will have a big impact in both PvP and PvE, offering smoother play for both classes.

Pro Tip: Make sure to update your rotation and talent builds based on these fixes if you're maining these classes!

Dungeons and Raids: Mythic+ Players, Rejoice!

Blizzard has made some quality-of-life changes for Mythic+ dungeons, which is great news for endgame players. Now, Runed Crests are awarded up to Mythic+7, while Gilded Crests are awarded starting at Mythic+8. Additionally, the buffs granted by Xal’atath’s Bargain Affixes now last 30 seconds instead of 20, giving players more breathing room to plan their strategy in tougher encounters.

These changes directly impact your ability to push higher keys and make Mythic+ a bit more rewarding and balanced.

Xal’atath’s Guile Nerf

On the downside, Blizzard also reduced the power of Xal’atath’s Guile, a challenging affix that increases enemy health and damage. The adjustment brings enemy health and damage down by 10%, making it a bit less punishing for players pushing into higher key levels.

Pro Tip: Take advantage of these buffs while strategizing around the new affix limits. You might find it a bit easier to climb higher without the previous affix intensity!

Player vs. Player: PvP Fixes You Should Know

Blizzard has also patched an issue that affected the Rated PvP tab, which was unintentionally grayed out for some players. Now, PvP enthusiasts can dive back into rated matches without any problems. For those who prefer battlegrounds, Eye of the Storm saw a minor but notable adjustment: The first bases will now spawn 5 seconds later than before, which could slightly change your opening strategy.

Classes like Paladin, Death Knight, and Demon Hunter also received minor adjustments aimed at keeping things fair and competitive in PvP combat. Paladins, for instance, got a fix for the Templar's Sanctification duration, which should improve their burst capabilities in tight encounters.

Professions: Delving Gets Cheaper!

Big news for profession players! The cost of the Delver’s Pouch of Reagents has been dramatically reduced from 1500 to 500 Undercoin, making it much easier to gather the necessary materials for high-level crafting. If you're a regular delver, this reduction means you'll be able to keep your reagent stocks high without breaking the bank.

Pro Tip: Stock up on Delver's Pouches before prices change again. It's a great time to focus on crafting while it's cheap!

What’s Next?

As always, Blizzard will keep monitoring these changes and might implement more tweaks as needed. These hotfixes are aimed at balancing and improving the player experience across the board, whether you’re a PvP champion, a Mythic+ climber, or a casual player working on professions.

Be sure to check for updates often because more hotfixes could drop at any moment to fix lingering bugs or fine-tune class balances.
